Dear Sir, Madam,

An unselfish desire to care for others is an essential quality for anyone entering the health and medical field. This genuine desire led me to pursue a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. Having graduated in May 2016, and currently awaiting receipt of my RN License, I am now armed with the knowledge and skills required to excel in my chosen profession.

While earning my degree, I built a solid background of skills and work experience in Neonatal Medicine. My experience is extensive: a clinical placement in ICU shadowing an experienced nurse in Any Hospital; working as a medical assistant for Kids First Pediatric Partners, and volunteer work at a Nursing Home are some of the challenges that I have faced over the past few years. During this time, I have developed unique critical thinking skills and have applied my knowledge to deliver successful patient-centric solutions to diverse problems. I have demonstrated first class communication and interpersonal skills, and can relate to clients of all ages, backgrounds, and genders, with varying levels of education and abilities, with a specific interest and passion for neonatal care.

My areas of expertise within the neonatal ICU setting include the ability to administer medications, monitor vital signs and providing nutrients vital to newborns, all delivered while managing various priorities and following hospital procedures. I firmly believe that I make an absolute positive difference in the lives of the children who I come into contact with, and bring the following expertise which speak for themselves, indicative of the performance that I offer to your Hospital:

  • Collaborated with senior nurses and physicians to assist in treatment plans and examinations, communicating and educating parents on day – to – day operations and how to take care of their infant when they return home
  • Effectively applied skills such as complete nursing assessments, medication administration, performing nebulizer treatments, and teaching families on the correct use of inhalers. Familiar with the S.T.A.B.L.E and N.R.P programs of care

Given the opportunity, I am confident that I can become a valuable member of your team. I have exceptional academic credentials, solid experience, and a profound devotion to helping people in need. Nursing is not just a job; it is a big part of who I am.

Sincerely,
Your name
